Important Notes
Note #1
The less-stable Windows operating systems (Windows 98, 98 SE and Me) are likely to crash when trying to display the contents of a very large archive on the menu. It is strongly recommended that you specify a maximum of 300-500 files in the ShellToys XP Options dialog. (On any operating system, you may wish to limit this figure to around 50-100 files, since displaying more items than this on a menu tends to be impractical anyway.) After ShellToys is first installed, the number of items displayed is limited to 100, but you can change this figure or switch off the limitation. More information.

Note #2:
No Zip Contents item on the menu? This is probably because the file doesn't actually have a .zip extension. Some popular zip programs handle many different formats of compressed file, each with their own extension, but use the same icon for each. A file that looks like a zip archive may be something different. Similarly, if the file has a .zip extension but you don't see a Zip Contents menu item, this indicates that either the compression method used isn't actually zip, and the file shouldn't have the .zip extension, or that the archive contains no files. The same details also apply to jar and cabinet archives.

Note #3
For Zip archives, Zip Contents uses file paths stored in the archive, recreating any folders specified by the creator of the archive.

Note #4
For Zip archives, if the zip file is password protected, a prompt dialog will be shown when you try to extract one or more files.
